I worked on the Domino's pitch in Boulder.
One of the ideas that Mike Danko and I come up with was The Pizza Tracker. Domino’s already had an internal company-wide system that keeps track of every pizza’s delivery progress. The Pizza Tracker captured that data and displayed it in a user-friendly way. It answers the question "where the hell is my pizza" pretty efficiently. To track a pizza’s progress a customer just enters their phone number. The project got some quality time on CNN for helping to sell over 1 million pizzas during the 2007 SuperBowl. It's still tracking pizzas to this day. Credit also goes to Kenny Kim, Kate McQuail and Ken Slater, three very awesome people who made this happen.
An awesome fake article from The Onion, still going strong after like 7 years.
Amazing.
