Enter Kobe Bryant

When Kobe steps on the court, he becomes the Black Mamba – an unstoppable alterego feared by the league and beloved by fans. Nike Basketball set out to digitally mimic Kobe’s physical transformation online at NikeBasketball.com. So when Kobe transforms, the site transforms with him. We built a custom-made Twitter algorithm to generate and monitor realtime global social chatter. Everytime Kobe has a crazy play on the court, global social chatter spikes, and transforms the site. Once opened, the site gives fans exclusive access to things like Kobe video interviews, personalized wallpapers, and exclusive Nike ID Zoom Kobe 6 shoes for a limited time before closing up again.
